The Kodak Z-990 MAX, while a great camera, does not inspire me the way other cameras have. This is why I spend a significant period of time with each camera before I make a decision.
The decision: is the camera able to provide the results I expect? Is it capable of performing the task at hand?
With the Kodak Z-990 MAX, the answer is no.
With the Panasonic FZ-20, the answer is yes.
For quite some time, I dismissed the Panasonic. I have traditionally been a devout user of Fujifilm cameras…particularly the S-9100 (and S-6000). I will always be fond of those cameras, but the Panasonic FZ-20 is making an impression on me. That Leica f2.8 12X lens is wonderful.

The Panasonic FZ-20 inspires.
Perfect.
