Sometimes while hiking, I find myself drawn to what is just around the next corner. What is up the next hill? What would I miss if I turned around now? Curiosity prevails where the horizon is a row of deciduous trees. A gentle breeze carrying with it the sweet aroma of decaying leaf litter.
And of late, I have been curious about what is next in life. What is in store for me around the next bend in the trail? What is up the next hill? The next bend in the river? It is this curiosity that drives me (and I wager, a large percentage of us) to continue on. To live for the day, and for the future.
Wilderness is the primal tutor to our lives.
What do you live for?
